AN OVERVIEW

Situated in Beirut, Lebanon, the Middle East Center for World Missions (MEC) is a vital hub for global missions.

Established by Horizons in 2019, MEC equips local churches to send missionaries and offers training programs to develop essential ministry skills.

It also provides a collaborative platform for believers and churches to maximize their impact.

MEC CREATIVE

Beyond our vital field ministries, your support fuels the creative outreach of MEC, centered in Dekwaneh, Beirut, Lebanon. This dynamic hub is impacting lives in tangible ways.

We host diverse events for believers and churches, including evangelistic outreaches and empowering local believers, plus art exhibitions by Lebanese Christian artists. With MEC Cafe (Check it out on the left!), we now have a coffee house and a conference room available for ministries to use any time.

MEC MEDIA PRODUCTION

The MEC studios are the engine for impactful outreach.

  • MEC Studio C (Voiceover Recording Studio): This is where the voices for the impactful "Pure Heart of the Middle East" videos are recorded, reaching 300K individuals. It's also the central hub for all our dubbing and audio needs for translation projects.

  • MEC Studio B: Primarily used for podcast production, including projects like "The Engage Course” and “Beinetna” youth page.

  • MEC Studio A (Filming Studio): The main filming space where programs like "Family by God's Design" with Georges Houssney are produced. This program is being translated into three languages and airs on "Pure Heart of the Middle East" platforms. MEC Studio A also served as the filming location for "Women of God" Season 2.
Despite the challenging circumstances of last year's conflict, women, many from the south, bravely came to this studio to share their testimonies of transformation.
They were provided with safe housing during this time, and their powerful stories of faith were captured here.

MEC WORSHIP

Its purpose is to train believers who want to learn how to play music. Our professional teachers show them what praise and worship principles are through piano, guitar, and drum lessons.  Believers from different churches have have been learning these instruments at three levels for four years now, with over 100 students.

Examples of such events include musical outreaches and an inter-denominational worship song contest called Sawti Ilak (“My Voice is Yours”)

  • We collaborate with other ministries, churches, and companies, providing support for their design needs as well as creating an atmosphere of serving through design for our team.

  • Our hardworking design team, many of whom started as interns and have now been offered full-time positions to continue serving with us, exemplifies the success of our program.
